Job Description

Job Summary

  • Ensure designated areas of the business are compliant and delivering a high standard of care.
  • Ensure operations are in line with CQC regulations.
  • Report to the Senior Management team on a regular basis.
  • Take a hands-on approach when necessary to address issues.
  • Register with CQC as the Registered Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CQC and Local Authority standards.
  • Maintain clear oversight of all responsible services.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of all sites.
  • Supervise Service Managers and Deputy Managers as needed.
  • Ensure all required reporting is completed to a high standard and within the appropriate time-frames.
  • Communicate effectively with external agencies.
  • Oversee internal quality audits.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Manager regarding complaints.
  • Support services in safeguarding reviews.
  • Assist managers and staff in consistently delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Work in partnership with CQC and Local Authorities to maintain "good" standards and work towards "outstanding" ratings.
  • Implement action plans using SMART principles.
  • Ensure all Service User documentation is of high quality, fit for purpose, and follows a person-centered approach.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current MCA/DoLS legislation.

General Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with CQC requirements.
  • Maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Communicate complex, sensitive, and at times contentious information effectively.
  • Undertake all required core training and additional professional development as needed.
  • Carry out other delegated tasks and responsibilities within the scope of the role.
  • Adhere to organisational values, policies, and procedures at all times.
