Job Description

Are you a Business Development Manager with experience of winning new business and overseeing large logistics accounts? Are you looking for a new challenge in a leading logistics firm?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Working at the client`s smaller office in the Liverpool area, you will be expected to actively source new business alongside being able to develop other business activities across the company.

Benefits for this role include:

A competitive basic salary between £30,000-£35,000 per annum (although candidates requiring a higher salary with the right experience could be considered at around £40,000-£45,000 as a maximum).

Company car provided.

Company laptop and mobile phone provided.

Strong commission structures in place.

Occasional travel to the company`s head office (Northern Ireland).

Day to day duties in this role include:

Make regular contact with existing customers to develop and improve business relationships whilst ensuring they are receiving a high level of service.

Developing and growing existing customer accounts - this will be through all business opportunities that have been explored.

Research the market and networking to ensure there is an establishing of links with potential new customers.

Liaising with business and finance directors to gain an understanding of business strategy and costing for prospective customers.

Continuously introduce and develop new customer accounts.

Reporting and escalating any customer complaints to higher management.

Discussing and submitting quotations as per customer requests.

Producing weekly sales reports and then updating management on both old and new accounts.

In order to apply for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:

At least 2 years experience in a Business Development role and further experience (5 + years) in sales.

Own a full, clean UK driving licence.

Experienced in managing and maintaining a customer base.

A track record of increasing revenue and improving probabilities.

It should also be mentioned that the right candidate must be flexible to occasionally travel to their main Northern Ireland office.
