My client based in Manchester has a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Manager, to oversee and manage the Import and Export shipping team.

It is essential for this role that you are experienced in all Import/Export procedures and conversant with the legislation around Brexit and what impact this has on freight. It's a hands on role where you will manage and support 2 member of staff.

A brief outline of the duties and responsibilities - a full job spec is available for selected candidates.

*Understanding of Import process and procedures from inside and outside EU
*Be able to compile and complete customs declarations
*Use expertise in sea freight and export air documentation to ensure that all exports are documented correctly
*Ensure that all appropriate export laws and regulations are adhered to
*Understanding of BREXIT and exit from the EU customs union
*Understand the importance of transactional execution
*Work with UK site operatives and Regional 3rd Party hubs, to ensure that you provide and process the appropriate export documentation required by each country

You will be expected to manage a team and build relationships with your contacts such as; Internal Warehouse and External warehouse, suppliers, HMRC, Port authorities, customers and shipping companies.
