Job Description

We have a unique opportunity to join a flourishing online retailer with MASSIVE potential and ambition to take over the world!

They have a new opportunity for a Magento Specialist to work in the Technical Development team.

The successful person will have:
- Proven experience as a backend developer.
- Solid experience with PHP, MySQL and a working knowledge of source control, deployment process and dev-ops.
- Excellent knowledge in object-oriented programming and MVC.
- Ability to write clean, reusable and extensible code and tests.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keeping well documented, efficient code and ensuring a clear audit trail of communication.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with an ability to plan and prioritise your own time, whilst working alongside a team to ensure all deadlines are met on time and to a high standard.
- Be competent using and executing commands via CLI.
- Should have experience with CentOS 7, Linux or other Unix platforms running Apache.

Other skills they'd love you to have (not all essential):
- Prior experience with Magento 1 & Magento 2.
- Magento Developer Certification.
- Can code HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Work with at least one JavaScript library.
- Experience with improving Magento site speed and search features.
- Experience in debugging and optimising MySQL databases and code.
- Experience with NewRelic, Blackfire.io and other debugging tools.

Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm (37.5hrs per week with 1 hour for lunch).

You will be based at our modern offices near Sheriff Hutton (YO60) therefore it is essential that you have your own transport.

Salary is dependent upon experience and attributes.
