Brook Street are currently seeking a Mailroom Assistant to work for a government client, based in Plymouth.
You will be assisting the team with maintaining the flow of mail to support the needs of the customer.
You will be sorting and dispatching mail both internally and externally and adhering with current regulations and local instructions.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
-Maintaining the correct procedures.
-Operating system dispatching processes.
-Maintaining personal information and records.
-Carrying out local van runs and ensuring timely delivery of mail.
-Carry out correct procedures for all mail irregularities.
Skills and experience required:
-Able to drive a small van.
-Valid UK driving licence.
-Good IT skills.
-Good customer service skills.
-Able to lift 11kg unaided and 30kg aided.
This is Monday-Friday, 0800-1600.
Rate of pay is £7.98 per hour, rising to £9.94 per hour after 12 weeks.
Higher rate of pay may be offered from day 1 for the right candidate.
This assignment is ongoing until 4th January 2020, but may be extended depending on the business needs.
