Job Description

Maintenance Engineer required in Alness for a large manufacturing facility for approximately 6 months.

Your new role
In your role as a Maintenance Engineer you will have responsibility for carrying out maintenance activities on the manufacturing equipment. This includes emergency, corrective and preventative maintenance.
You will also work to develop and improve the maintenance plan for the equipment to drive a reduction in emergency maintenance and improve efficiency.
This role will follow a shift pattern of 4 working days on, followed by 4 working days off. This will include night shift and day shifts 7-7.
Hours of work will be between Monday to Saturday. A good deal of flexibility will be required as the shift times will change.

What you`ll need to succeed
Strong technical skills are required in both electrical and mechanical disciplines and an ability to logically fault find and route cause problems.
The position also demands the ability to work as a team and collaborate closely with operations. This role is very much a hands-on role and you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
You must have previous experience of working a planned and unplanned maintenance and be knowledgeable in a range of fault finding techniques.
You must also hold suitable qualifications; for example, an HNC or HND in a relevant engineering discipline.
