MAINTENANCE MANAGER / MINOR WORKS
INVERNESS
£30K

The role will primarily involve assisting in the management of a substantial repair, maintenance and improvement programme based in Moray, Midlothian and Dumfries & Galloway with scope to provide similar support to our rural teams across Scotland.

Key Deliverables
Providing building surveying/architectural support to clients and team members
Managing and advising on repairs, maintenance and improvements projects including new build/replacement works on an extensive and varied portfolio of agricultural, residential and rural commercial assets.
Ensuring achievement of delegated key client deliverables
Adherance to internal and client process and compliance standards

Liaising with our portfolio management team regarding overall contractor compliance requirements

Key Skills
Competent and experienced Maintenance Surveyor / minor works manager with experience of delivering required scope of work across a rangeof rural assets
Good knowledge of building standards and other regulations relevant to rural assets
Undertake statutory consent applications, drawing on the experience in Planning and development team and development team
Management of European applications as required
Understanding and experience of the full RIBA Work Stages, with an ability to manage and deliver projects from concept to completion
Ability to provide solutions to practical issues raised at all Work Stages
Ability to produce, analyse and advise on detailed specification for suitable materials and advise on detailed specification for suitable materials or processes to be used in construction
Knowledge and understanding of NBS or processes to be used in construction-preferred Contract Administration and Employers Agent experience and understanding of various forms of procurement (in various forms of procurement (including the SBCC JCT suite of contracts@

Working knowledge of CAD systems

Ideally able to undertake building condition surveys/assessments
Wroking effectively with internal and external specialist advisors
Ability to Ability to provide advice in relation to energy performance and measures
Understanding of building conservation to provide advice in relation to typical rural properties
