Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment are working in partnership with a specialised manufacturing facility based in Ross Shire who due to continued growth and significant increase in orders are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Your role will be to provide technical support to the production, QA and Engineering departments.

Duties include:
" Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of day to day running of production equipment offering technical support and ongoing preventative maintenance whilst ensuring a safe work environment is maintained.
" Support production teams to ensure output and quality targets are achieved and
" Assist with, implement, and drive continuous improvement on production lines.
" Will work closely with the manufacturing team, as well as other support groups and technical staff to resolve issues that arise related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, waste/scrap reduction and drive efficiency.
" Participate, Implement, and resolve corrective actions based on root cause analysis
" Plan, install and commission new equipment and develop new processes and process workflows.
" Maintain equipment following PPM and calibration requirements.
" Implement changes to the processes and apply changes to similar projects where applicable.

Essential requirements:
" Minimum HNC, SVQ/NVQ level 2 or 3 or other equivalent in a relevant Electrical/Mechanical Discipline and/or recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance.
" Must have proven electrical / mechanical maintenance experience within a process manufacturing environment.
" Candidates who have gas burner experience would be at a distinct advantage.
" 17th Edition IEE Regulations essential for Electricians. Experience in fault finding on systems/PLC's would also be desirable.
" Excellent problem-solving skills are essential with the ability to assess and analyse situations and make effective decisions keeping the interests of the company and its' employees in mind.
" Must be able to plan and organise own time and set realistic work plans in the interests of company targets
