Job Description

Based in Trafford Park, this role requires someone who comes from the Engineering sector and who has strong planning skills along with experience of leadership. You need to be an excellent communicator and have a good understanding of the CNC Operations Lath/Milling so we are looking for someone from the Engineering sector.

The main focus of this role is to ensure the planned flow of work through processes, meeting all customer deliveries and lead times; dealing with a low batch volume, high variety, within a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the flow of work from initial raising of paperwork, through to and including dispatch, making sure that goods are ready to distribute to customers in a timely manner.
Responsible for running weekly planning meeting
Ensure that jobs are released and progressed through the processes with enough parts to satisfy customer requirements, in time to meet customer deliveries
Ensure that jobs which are produced have all customer requirements satisfied
Responsible for the sub-contract related tasks, selection and chasing.
Provide forecasts of capacity
Provide lead times for customers
Act as a link between departments
Run through of all current orders in work, identifying progress and mitigation plans for orders running behind schedule


You should have proven experience within a Planning role, knowledge and understanding of machining methods, particularly vertical CNC milling machines and lathes
Excellent understanding of the following manufacturing processes, mixing, pressing, sintering and machining
Managerial experience.
Knowledge and practical experience of world class manufacturing techniques.
Experience of dealing with Sub Contractors
