Job Description

Brook Street is working with our client in Mallusk to recruit a full time and permanent Warehouse Team Leader.

The role will require the candidate hired to work a variety of shifts that includes days and nights.

Key responsibility areas:

• To maximise efficiency within the galvanising plant, specifically ensuring continuous improvement as identified through KPI targets.
• Ensure jobs are processed according to the schedule and as directed by the galvanizing supervisor and in a manner whereby KPI targets are achieved.
• Ensure the quality of the galvanising is of the highest standard possible and that operators are following ISO procedures.
• Ensure jobs are jigged efficiently before pickling and that there is always material in the flux tank waiting to be dipped. In particular, ensuring that efficient processing aids such as multi jigging is utilised.
• Ensure weighbridge and de-jigging operators check the quality of the work before packaging and fettle any spikes or rough areas.
• Ensure that all jobs are properly packaged, labelled and placed in the correct area of the yard.
• Ensure that any unsatisfactory work is highlighted to a senior member of staff.
• Responsible for the Health & Safety of all personnel in his/her control. Additionally, to ensure a good standard of housekeeping.
• Ensure all personnel adhere to company rules.
• Ensure that premises are secured out of hours.
• To fill in information in the shift log book to enable more effective communication.
• Assist and cover for other production personnel, to cope with workloads and absenteeism.

Essential Criteria:

• Good understanding of Maths and English
• Minimum of 2 year's experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
• Must have at least 2 years previous experience of managing and leading a team of 8 or more people
• Must be able to work on a rotational shift basis including days, mid shifts and night shifts
• Demonstrate experience of dealing with administration tasks such absence management and performance management

Rate of Pay:
Days: £27, 621 per annum
Mid Shift: £31,158 per annum
Night Shift: £33,155 per annum

The company has a rotation of shifts in operation.

Days 07:00 - 15:30 (Mon - Thur) 07:00 - 14:30 (Fri) 39 hours
Mid shift 15:00 - 23:30 (Mon - Thur) 14:00 - 22:30 (Fri) 40 hours
Night shift 23:00 - 07:30 (Sun - Thur) 40 hours

All shifts include a 15-minute paid tea break and 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Whilst initially starting a Days/Mids. Shift, the successful candidate should bear in mind a possible requirement to also include nights in the future.
