Job Description

An exciting opportunity had just arisen for a Marketing Assistant based on the outskirts of York. We're looking for someone to come in and assist the marketing manager with the execution and management of the full range of marketing activities.

You will help to develop and implement the marketing strategy, this will include the promotion of existing products and services, as well as the introduction of new products and product ranges to the market.

You will assist in a variety of marketing activities including content writing for online and offline channels, website management, lead generation campaigns, creation of sales literature, Social Media and internal communications.

Key responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant:
Create content for different channels
Social Media, website blog, literature and sales support materials, etc.
Manage and develop the company's Social Media
Plan, develop and manage email marketing campaigns
Assist with the production of marketing materials and literature
Assist with regular websites updates via WordPress
Assist the marketing manager with day-to-day support as required

Required skills and experience:
Strong copywriting skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone and voice of our business' various types of content
Knowledge of Social Media platforms, LinkedIn and Twitter in particular
Comfortable working with the full marketing mix
Excellent organisational skills to work independently and manage a range projects to completion

Desirable skills and experience:
Experience in marketing preferred but not required
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
Knowledge of web-based software: MailChimp, Survey Monkey and Prezi
Bonus skills include lead generation, email marketing, content marketing, SEO and PPC, event management and website CMS (WordPress)
