An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of the country's leading public sector companies committed to improving the built environment. They're smart sustainable places designed to meet the needs of evolving UK communities, long into the future.

The role. Developing, managing and delivering projects to agreed programmes, Responsible for all elements of safety, health and environment, statutory compliance regulations and project budget management. Working within a multi-disciplined team for each project and, where required, acting as lead Contract Administrator/Project Manager(NEC3) on specific allocated projects managing, co-ordinating and motivating a project team comprising structural and electrical engineers, building surveyors and other specialised consultants.

You will need to have a HNC (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a broad range of relevant post graduation monitored professional work experience. Demonstrable knowledge of CDM pertaining to the design function of projects. A range of experience in designing, specifying, site surveying and project management of multiple building projects. Evidence of preparing feasibility studies and budget estimates, and budget control and financial monitoring, contractual management and negotiating with clients.
