Job Description

Mechanical Technician

I am looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician for a company based in Wellesbourne. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30 and Friday 08:30-15:30.

The salary being offered is £22,000 - £25,000, there will be occasional call out work and travel to the other site located in Coventry.

Other benefits include: Pension with between 2 - 5% with an employer contribution up to 10%, and 26 days annual leave plus 4 customary days (usually taken at Christmas) and 8 bank holidays.

About the job:
As a Mechanical Technician and working as part of a team you will be responsible for an efficient business critical response service and routine maintenance for all mechanical building services installed throughout the site. This will also include heating and ventilation and all equipment associated with utility services.

Key responsibilities include -
To respond to individual job requests via the job notification system, phone and Radio, ensuring each job is seen through to completion. This could include -

To investigate unidentified problems

To provide a planned maintenance service and minor works on systems and equipment

To provide advice or suggestions in relation to the installation of new products and equipment, for example mechanical seals, valves, pumps etc

To order equipment and materials needed to particular jobs or tasks and maintain stock items

About you:
For this position you will either be qualified by experience or have a completion of a recognised apprenticeship or training programme to NVQ3/ City and Guilds Advanced Standard or equivalent in heating and ventilation, mechanical services.

A proven practical work experience within the building services sector including working in a similar environment.

Experience in heating and ventilation systems and pipework installations

Experience of using access equipment such as scaffolding, MEWPs

Current full driving licence to transport equipment and materials
