Job Description

Brook Street is currently seeking a Marketing and Media Officer for a period of six months initially, with the opportunity of extension, for our client in the Antrim area.

Our public sector client would like someone with at least two years' recent experience in a wide range of Marketing and PR activities of products or services to include experience in managing media relations, coordinating and managing major events and preparing and producing publications.

In this role, you will be responsible for duties including;
" Preparing media and marketing plans for specific services areas
" Working with customer services section and service managers to ensure that a research plan is in place to inform future service provision and marketing and PR activity
" Responding to media queries
" Briefing colleagues on media issues to prepare for any media contact, including interviews
" Managing media relations, acting as point of contact in handling external media queries and promoting positive news a daily basis
" Being pro-active and innovative in identifying, organising and pitching PR opportunities in support of client services and initiatives
" Attending meetings and providing board members with professional advice on aspects of media relations

To be eligible for this role, you will hold a third level qualification along with two years of recent Marketing and PR experience. In lieu of the third level qualification, 3 years recent broad based experience in a wide range of Marketing and PR activities will be accepted.

Good planning and project management skills, excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and offering a solution based, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work will be key to ensuring you excel in this role!

The hours of work are 0900 to 1700 Monday to Friday; in return you will be paid £15.06 per hour.
