Job Description

An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a a dedicated and passionate Mental Health support worker for an educational establishment based in Preston. Due to covid restrictions you will be required to work sometimes from home but be flexible enough to work at the site when needed. This role is for a 3- 4 month duration with the opportunity for this to be extended.

During these uncertain times you will be supporting young adults reach their educational goals by supporting their mental health and well-being.

You will be a great listener, be able to show empathy as well as being able to offer practical guidance, you will know how to write reports, be able to refer to external agencies and put treatment plans in place

You will have at least 12 month experience within the mental health and social care sector or 6 months with a relevant qualification, a degree for this role is preferable but not essential if you have the experience
