We are looking for an experienced Mentoring Officer to provide support and guidance to offenders through practical intervention and community support.
You will be part of an established organisation that provides services and solutions to support people suffering from homelessness and in housing crisis.
As a Mentoring Officer your duties will include providing holistic advice to offenders on community orders or post release from HM Prisons, supporting them to to be integrated into the community ensuring their housing, finance and debt related support needs are met. You will be working closely with and supporting volunteer mentors recruited to the service, completing risk assessments, completing SMART action plans and develop outcome focused action plans and manage internal and external referrals.
We are looking for a passionate, non judgemental, proactive and professional individual. You will be able to work on own initiative, problem solve and have a positive approach.
The successful candidate must hold a minimum Level 2 Diploma in Mentoring or Advice and Guidance, have experience working with offenders and have experience in advocating. You must hold a Full UK Driving License with access to your own car.
This is a full time position with a excellent salary of £21,225-£22,287 plus exciting benefits and development.
