Well you could have the opportunity to! My client based in St Albans is seeking a Merchandiser to join their fun and friendly team. The team consists of 12 Merchandisers, an Assistant Manager and Manager.
Your role will be to deal with back to back orders and replenishment requests. You will have to make sure the required stock levels are available for transfer in good time; therefore you must understand seasonal trends to forecast accurately whilst taking account of lead times and upcoming events. Another part of your new role will be to make manual orders, confirm and chase, ensure returns and complete and limit potential stock issues. And finally you will need to maintain relationships with your suppliers and branches. Your new team and managers will help and support you in your training when starting your new role!
The perfect applicant for this role MUST have Merchandiser/Buying experience from a sports industry background or clothing.
You will need to also have an understanding of seasonal trends to forecast accurately. Have the ability to adapt to change and have the knowledge to keep up to date with changes and new trends. You will also need to have supply chain awareness.
The salary for this position is paying £29,950. You will be working 37.5 hours per week. Is it based at the companies head office therefore there is no company car available, but if required to travel there is a company pool car available.
