My Camberley based client is looking for an experienced Model maker to join there fast paced and friendly team. This is a varied position from meeting with clients, assembling the products as well as designing them and offering further career development and training.

The Model Maker focuses on producing physical models to present to clients as a reference of the product that can be produced in series by the Manufacturing team.

The Model Maker produces parts they can make on model machinery and assembles these parts to prototyped components made by suppliers. In that respect, the Model Maker is the first person to judge the feasibility of the tangible product in terms of producibility.

In the early stages of the project, the Model Maker also assists the Client Team in winning the project by making scale models, mock-ups and working principle test models to present these to clients to support client pitch proposals.

In the final design phase, the Model Maker assists the team with feasibility assessment of the design and engineering solutions, and by advising team members in terms of optimisation's for ease of assembly and production.

In the production phase, the Model Maker assists the Manufacturing Team in making special tools and jigs to facilitate constant quality production. If needed, the Model Maker assists the manufacturing in assembly of complex low-quantity production runs where the skill set of the Model Maker is needed.
