Job Description

Brook street are currently looking for an Admin Officer to work for our Client MOJ with the Leeds District Magistrates Court based on a temporary basis until the end of March but is highly likely to be extended!

Address: Leeds District Magistrates, Westgate, Leeds, LS1 3JP

Pay: £10.86ph

Hours: Monday - Friday (9-5) Possibly 1 day per week working from home

Main Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Working in the Magistrates Rota Unit ensuring sufficient Magistrates and District Judges to cover all courts sitting in North and West Yorkshire
  • accessing online rota's
  • making phone calls, sending out text messages,
  • monitoring sittings.
  • General admin duties

Skills and experience required:

  • Be Accurate
  • Punctual
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to different type of work
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential
  • Low sickness record
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Quick to learn and retain information once trained.
  • Must have good customer service skills both on the telephone and at a public enquiry counter,
  • Must remain calm under pressure
  • Have the ability to deal with challenging conversations.

Must have wifi at home as home working is completed on a rota basis currently once a week.
Must have a in date passport for this role for DBS checks to be carried out
