Working for a business in Cardiff with great company benefits, Brook Street have an exciting opportunity for a Motor Claims Technician on a Full Time basis.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an Experienced Motor Claims Technician to join the Claims team in Cardiff. You will need experience in dealing with insurance claims.

Duties

Working within our busy office in Cardiff, our Motor Claims Technicians are given full responsibility for each individual motor insurance claim they deal with.

We are looking for motivated individuals with excellent customer service skills to work on our Motor claims department.

Being the contact for all parties following an incident we are looking for a claim, empathetic and reassuring manner to guide the caller through the claim details. This call is where the claims journey begins.

You will be expected to gather all the accident information that is available, make an initial decision of liability and start the claims process by appointing relevant suppliers where necessary. It is essential that we ensure the customer is clear on the claims process and their expectations are managed right from the outset. Therefore experience within motor is vital.

However, we will ensure that you have the relevant training to do the job and ensure that any questions and support you need whilst in this role are fulfilled.

Claims can range from third party Liability through to Personal Injury and Total Loss, but we`ll give you the training and knowhow to indentify the nature of each claim, how to gain as much detail as possible from the claimants and the best course of action to take for our valued customers and clients alike. The role will be at an entry level, so you may have had a taste of handling claims or a healthily appetite to progress your career within this field

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following skills to be considered for this role

  • A working knowledge of the Principles of Motor Insurance
  • Already experienced within the claims arena, you`ll have the ability to identify suspicious information and apply correct procedures to avoid fraudulent claims, identify and evaluate evidence. Additionally, you`ll answer routine correspondence, deal with incoming calls, issue client updates and maintain diary processes.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word
