Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client who is currently recruiting for a new permanent Insurance Claims Handler

Responsibilities

• Negotiate Insurance Claims - mostly Motor and some liability - investigating, negotiating and settling claims in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Validating policy cover and managing customer's expectations.
• Meet the agreed standards of service, volumes and performance levels in line with KPIs.
• Provide input and advice to clients on claims progress, manage expectations and support their needs.
• Escalate problems with claims to Account Executives and/or Senior Management in accordance with agreed referral triggers.
• Identify policy issues around policy cover and application and escalate issues as required
• Set up first advice and managing subsequent interactions with clients and insurers
• Referring to senior handlers and team leader as required.

Criteria

• Must have experience of Motor and some Liability experience
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
• Preferred to have CII qualification
• Competent in Microsoft Office.

Salary will be £30-35k depending on experience
