Previous experience of working in the Home Office UKVI - Highly desirable
Strong verbal and written communication skills - Essential
Basic IT skills - sending and receiving emails, Microsoft Word and maintaining accurate information on databases - Essential. (Training will be provided on Home Office IT systems relevant to the role).
Experience of working professionally to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Standards frameworks - highly desirable.

The MP Account team receive approximately 1000 pieces of correspondence from MPs each week (written and telephone) and we have a commitment to respond to all correspondence within 20 working days of receipt; so, pace is key within the team. The post holder will be responsible for a range of tasks either administrative or correspondence management. Examples of tasks include: Engaging with teams across UKVI to obtain responses or updates on outstanding correspondence, maintaining accurate databases, managing email inboxes, triaging correspondence and allocating to the correct stage in process/team for progression, drafting responses to MPs.
