Job Description

Are you a qualified electrician with previous work history of security systems or have the passion and can-do attitude to work in this environment? If so my client is seeking a Service Engineer to join their busy team.

You will be currently working within a technical environment in the Electronic Security Industry possibly feeling undervalued with a desire to progress in your career. It's time to step up to a role which properly rewards you for your commitment, ambition and contribution, guarantees to upskill you to the latest technology embracing the exciting world of IP and involves you in all aspects of commercial and technical lifecycle supporting a senior engineer servicing and supporting accounts within the Link 90 minute™ rule.

Ideal Location: you will be living in between Essex and North East London

Job offering: you will be responsible for supporting your senior engineer (ASM) and providing lifecycle management of the Company's client base within the 90 minute™ rule. This is a self-determined role and comes with complete responsibility and assistance for the technical and operational health and lifecycle management of the Company's customers; as well as reporting to the ASM, the role has its own single point of contact operational support, extensive technical resources, a training program to advance to a senior engineering role and through direct reporting and accountability to your ASM you will in turn meet with the Company's senior management during a regular quarterly review

In the first instance the role will be supervised and inducted by the ASM responsible for the Company's customer base in the area location (above) until well and truly acclimatised to the Company's culture, work practices and high standards of customer care.

The Company works on a self-determined 'out-of-hours' policy which encourages good engineering and customer relationships

Your profile & qualifications

  • To be considered as loyal, dependable, reliable with integrity
  • Personable with strong 'client facing' skills in communication and problem solving
  • Good organisational skills, particularly in organising your own time, and maintaining high and recognisable standards throughout your own commitments
  • A natural aptitude for electronics
  • Good current working knowledge of PC/IP, networking and digital technology would help
  • H&S compliance and awareness
  • A naturally intuitive approach to fault finding
  • A hunger to learn and excel in front of your customers and team
  • Good administrative house-keeping
  • Be a participator not a commentator
  • Equally comfortable working independently as well as able to be a team player with the ASM when required
