Job Description

You will be able to demonstrate a background as a National Account Manager. You will have a background in grocery or health and beauty.

Part of the large group of companies, this division is a marketing and sales company that represents OTC health-care, toiletries and beauty brands in the UK. Our expert sales, marketing and distribution service can develop ideas and products and turn them into household names.

We are a business going through a period of rapid positive change and we have ambitious growth plans which will be achieved through exciting NPD launches on existing brands and launching new brands into the market.

To ensure we reach our goals we are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join our successful team and manage our Boots account.

This is a home-based position with travel to our Head Office in Watford when required.

Main purpose of the role:

To lead the delivery of my clients KPIs within defined categories in Boots and in conjunction with the Pharmacy Controller to develop, agree and successfully deliver the Boots Joint Business Plan.

This will require translating my clients and Principal brand plans into deliverable sales plans that consider things from a my clients, Principal, Boots, Brand and Category perspective

It will also require long term strategic planning, as well as short term tactical commercial delivery.

Ownership of Boots P&L is key, and the National Account Manager must have a robust understanding of the impact of their decision making on the P&L.

Cross functional working is important so that strong internal and Principal relationships are fostered and the overall relationship between my client and Boots is grown and developed.

A further key function of this role is to lead, manage and develop the Pharmacy National Account Executive to ensure delivery of my clients budgets within the NAE account remit

Requirements for the role:
Strong commercial background with a track record of delivering success at National Account level and recent experience in working with and managing a Boots account.
Excellent sales skills including communicating, influencing and negotiating
Excellent relationship building skills are essential - for building both internal and external relationships.
The ability to challenge the status quo, seeking new ways to improve business performance.
Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative, manage workload and prioritise tasks.
Solid commercial awareness
Strategic thinker
Full Driving Licence
