Job Title - Network Technician

Temp hourly rate - £11.76 pre AWR / 12.74 post AWR

Duration - till end of March 2022

Role Type: Full Time working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Role Overview:

Brook Street are recruiting for an experienced Network Technician to work within the NHS.
You will be working remotely out of Ilkeston Hospital, helping to develop and implement a firmware patching process for the Network estate which can adopted by the Network team. This process will need to be documented and tested thoroughly before deployment.
You will need to be flexible enough to work with all supported manufacturers and provide accurate reports of the patching levels across the estate.
You will need to either integrate into an existing system or utilise new systems, whilst assisting the Network team with BAU tasks when required.

Typical tasks but not limited to:
- Providing good customer service
- Assist the Network team with BAU tasks when required.
- Report to the network manager

- Demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written

- Working in an organised manner, using own knowledge and expertise to deliver on time and to standard.


Key Skills:
- Reporting to management
- Completing all documentation clearly and quickly
- Good customer service skills

Experience/knowledge of the following technologies/systems:
Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, FortiGate - SolarWinds, Netbox

Full driving licence, as you will be required to visit various sites. Potentially may have use of a small van but ideally you will own your own vehicle.


The role is until the end of March 2022, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37.5hrs per week at £11.76/hr increasing to £12.74/hr after 12 weeks.
Expenses will be paid for mileage when moving from site to site.
The role is initially office based out of Ilkeston Hospital but will require travelling all around the County to assist users.
