Business Support officer
Hybrid working a mix of home and office, based in Leeds
Full time position: 37.5 hours a week- rate of pay is £13.12 per hour
Temporary contract for 6 months open to review for extension dependant on business demand and own client discretion

The NHS are currently recruiting for someone to join their team based in Leeds. The user-centred design (UCD) team is an exciting, inclusive and forward-thinking place to work. It provides user-centred design leadership across product development and beyond.

User-centred design is a tried and tested process of building clinical or patient facing services that solve problems for users.

The team works to:

- Enable an environment for successful, inclusive and equitable, user-centred design practice

- Grow inclusive and equitable user-centred design capability and maturity

- Lead and influence best practice in user-centred design

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for providing administrative support and co-ordination of the UCD team portfolio of work which includes the operations team, service design maturity model, knowledge management, inclusive design and other centralised user centred design products and services.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of agile ceremonies and artefacts e.g. sprint planning, backlog, Trello board, roadmap, meeting action logs, etc
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings and events for the team
  • User Research Sharepoint
  • UCD Directory
  • UCD mailbox management and responding to queries
  • Processes to access UCD software & tools e.g. Qualtrics, UserZoom, Optimal Workshop
  • UCD central financial management e.g. POs, budgets, invoicing, monitoring spend & compliance
  • Admin for UCD Service Maturity Model Community of Practice
  • Admin for Knowledge Management working group
  • Admin for Panel Management Group
  • Participant incentives portal support
  • On/offboarding support for UCD colleagues
  • Support for a wide range of emerging UCD products and services as our team grows, and based on your interest and expertise

You will have the opportunity to learn more about User-Centred Design in the NHS through working with our user research, content and design communities, including observing user research and participating in our active online communities.

Key skills and experience:

  • Admin experience is essential
  • Experience in using a range of systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Data entry and mailbox management skills
  • Strong team player
  • Can act on own initiative
