Job Description

Working in Partnership with North West Ambulance NHS Trust, Brook Street are looking to recruit for the following long-term temporary positions.

Role: NHS Band 3 999 Contact Centre Call Handlers
Locations: Liverpool (Speke)
Pay Rate £10.09 per hour with an out of hours and weekend & Bank Holiday shift allowance
Duration: Ongoing, minimum commitment is required until March 2022 and possibly beyond this for anyone successful in being offered a fixed term contract.

We are looking for reliable and committed individuals to support the exceptional NHS Staff within the Ambulance Service control Hubs on a new ongoing project within emergency operation centres.

You will be working in one of the very busy Emergency Operation Centres taking emergency and non-emergency calls from the public, Ambulance Staff, Medics and other Emergency Services Personnel

It will be your responsibility to manage challenging situations calmly and with patience before progressing them through the right channel. You may also be dealing with GP/Hospital admission and bookings and lots more.

We are looking for strong professional applicants with exceptional customer service skills, this must be demonstrated on your CV. You must be good at communicating with all different types of people. You must be patient, have empathy and the ability to make decisions on your own when needed. You must be proactive and enjoy working in a bust and demanding environment.

These opportunities are 37.5 hours per week across 24 hours / 7 days a week rota period - You must be fully flexible to work all shifts including some Bank Holidays (please do not apply if you can't)

Ideally you must be able to drive due to location of work, but not essential if you arrange your own transport, and be willing to potentially travel to a different North West location for training - free parking on site. However, you must be able to get yourself to the Liverpool area for around 4-6 weeks training (these hours will be approx. 8-4 Monday- Friday)
