NHS Digital - Band 5 Recruitment Lead
Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)
Pay: £12.74
START ASAP


This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

This is an opportunity to work in an exciting part of NHS Digital, at the forefront of technology in the NHS, at what is undoubtedly a pivotal and challenging time in healthcare. The Product Development (PD) Directorate designs and delivers new products and services to help citizens, patients and clinicians across the health and social care sector.

The Role

This role is a 'Resource Management Lead', working in a team of people supporting the Resource Management of the Product Development Directorate. It is up to us to ensure all our staff are assigned to meaningful work as per the business priorities. We can allocate staff with the right skills and experience to new assignments within the Directorate to maintain business continuity and support our business priorities.

PD Directorate Support Team (DST) provides a business and resource management function to the whole of the PD Directorate. The DST provides directorate level support on strategy, compliance, resourcing, recruitment, business planning, estate, and financial management.

The PD Resource Management team provides a range of recruitment and resourcing activities and support services for the PD Directorate, in order to meet business objectives. These activities include:

  • Recruitment
  • Permanent, Temporary, Contractors, Statements of Work
  • Resource Management Maintaining resource plans in the Simplified staff forecasting system Tagetik
  • Staff movement and assignment process
  • Staff utilisation
  • Reviewing, updating and maintaining resource plans liaising with internal stakeholders (Portfolio Item Managers [PIMs] and their delegates) and working with finance colleagues

Skills required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Can do attitude
  • Proficient use of MS office programmes especially MS Excel
  • Must have experience in communications
  • Must be able to effectively work from home
