Job Description

NIGHT CLEANER required for a new train fleet - Temporary!

£12.10 per hour

Hours: 22:00 - 06:00

You must be able to commit to the hours and have cleaning experience / fleet cleaning experience

Duties include:

1.1 Vestibules
1. Chewing gum removed from all surfaces
2. Floor matting and gangway floor plates clear of all litter, food debris and free from stains with no build-up of dirt or grime around skirting or floor trims
3. Vestibule gangway bellows free of dust, dirt and ingrained soiling
4. Where fitted; auto gangway doors, toilet compartment doors and exterior door glazing are clean in appearance and free of greasy marks, smears or unauthorised stickers
5. Panels, stainless steel grills and hard surfaces including door frames and light diffusers are free of dirt, stains, scuff marks, smears or unauthorised stickers
6. All surfaces free of graffiti
7. Litter bins clean, disinfected, relined and empty

1.2 Saloon
1. Chewing gum removed from all surfaces
2. Interior glazing clean in appearance and free of greasy marks, smears or unauthorised stickers
3. Panels, stainless steel grills, hard surfaces and window sills free of dirt, stains, scuff marks, smears or unauthorised stickers
4. All surfaces free of graffiti
5. Litter bins clean, disinfected, relined and empty
6. Seat shells, and where fitted; drop leaf tables and fixed tables clean and free of litter, food debris and greasy, sticky stains
7. Hand rails, luggage racks and stacks clear of litter and completely free of dust and dirt
8. Seat covers clean, dry and free of any excessive build-up of dust and dirt. Seat covers are all correctly fitted, and any torn, slashed or threadbare items reported.
9. Armrests free of dust, dirt, and sticky stains
10. Where fitted; saloon carpets have a clean appearance free of dust, dirt or any build-up of compacted dirt in traffic lane areas
11. Hard floors clear of all litter, food debris and free from stains with no build-up of dirt or grime around skirting or floor trims
12. Light diffusers cannot be opened, however exteriors should be free of any build-up of dust or dirt

1.3 Toilet Compartment
1. Chewing gum removed from all surfaces
2. Mirrors are clean in appearance and free of greasy marks, smears or unauthorised stickers
3. The door, interior panels, handrails, plastic surfaces and baby changing table (where fitted) are clean, disinfected and free of unauthorised stickers
4. All surfaces free of graffiti
5. Litter bin is clean, disinfected, relined and empty
6. Toilet outer, bowl, rim, seat and lid are clean, disinfected and free of any build-up of dirt, stains, scuff marks, smears or lime scale
7. Hard floor is disinfected, clean and dry with no build-up of stains around the toilet bowl area.
8. Washbasin, taps and chrome fittings are clean and shiny in appearance
9. Light diffusers have a clean appearance free of any build-up of dust or dirt

1.4 Service Check
1. Where fitted; liquid soap, toilet tissue, paper towel and baby changing table dispensers contain enough consumables to last for the duration of the service
2. All saloon armrests returned to the down position and drop-leaf tables folded up
3. Window blinds in the up position.
4. First Class reclining seats returned to the upright position.
All interior labelling and stickers correctly fitted and not scratched or defaced.
