Are you Nurse looking a new role?

A nursing home based in Headingley, Leeds is looking for an experiences RGN,RMN or RNLD to join their team as a night Nurse.

If you have a passion for caring for people and creating a better quality of life for the residents this is the role for you.

The home have facilities for serval different service users including-
Cancer Care * Cerebral Palsy * Head/Brain Injury * Hearing Impairment * Motor Neurone Disease * Multiple Sclerosis * Muscular Dystrophy * Stroke * Visual Impairment


Main responsibilities will Include-
" To be the Named nurse for a group of residents with a team of key workers.

" To delegate duties to care staff and ensuring that those duties are undertaken with due regard to the maintenance of dignity and privacy.

" Whilst assisting or providing care to residents, to communicate in their chosen method throughout advising of the action to be undertaken, establishing choices and preferences and making appropriate general conversation.

" To encourage and enable residents to assist in routine daily tasks around the Home as identified in their care plans.

" To spend social time in one to one or group interactions with residents as they wish, in their chosen communication method, during any lulls in the working day.

" To supervise care staff in conjunction with the manager and other heads of departments.

" To ensure that care given is individualised and of the highest quality to maintain privacy and dignity.

" To conduct regular team meetings to discuss care and review care plans.

" To participate in the ongoing training and development of care staff.

" To liaise and communicate with relatives, GPs and other agencies to improve and maintain the quality of life of each resident.

" To adhere to correct administration, recording and storage of drugs as policies and procedures & NMC guidelines on administration of medication.

" To maintain comprehensive and up to date records of all matters relating to the care of residents including monthly evaluation of care plans.

" To maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the Home and residents.

" To respond to enquiries regarding vacancies in the Home, giving appropriate information, complete relevant documentation and invite the enquirer to visit the Home.

" To participate in procedure training activities and in-house lectures when required.

" To attend staff meeting and contribute any ideas in a constructive manner.

" To be involved with the care of the resident`s personal effects and in the care of the fabric of the home and any equipment used.

" To be involved in promoting standards of tidiness and good order in public areas and in resident`s rooms.


" To work under the direction of the Manager and to be supportive of the Manager in providing skilled and thoughtful care to all residents.

" To meet NMC requirements for registration whilst continuing own personal development.

" To deal with complaints and incidents according to procedures and refer to the Manager within the timescales.


This is a full time position, working 3 nights per week at 36 hours.

Shifts are 8pm to 8 am with an hours break paid.

You will be required to work alternate weekends and your shifts will be on a rota given to you in advance.
