Job Description

Job position: Machine Support Assistant-NIGHT SHIFT ONLY

Location: Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire

Salary: 17,000 - 18,500 depends on experience PLUS 30% shift allowance, it can go up to 23,000 if you have relevant experience.

With the shift allowance your salary will be between 21,000 - 23,000 dependent on experience.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 9:45pm-6:45am, Friday: 6:45pm-11:15pm 37.5 Hours Per Week

This is a permanent role working for one of our global clients in the Preston area.

Brook Street are currently recruiting for a candidate to provide a high-level support service to keep presses operating efficiently, in order to print a wide variety of self-adhesive labels in a busy manufacturing environment while adhering to all quality and safety standards. The main role of this position will be operating a rewind press but can also include covering within various departments including Packing, Wristband Assembly & Packing.

Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the functions and basic mechanical workings of machinery whilst under limited supervision.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain optimum quality at all times.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards and keep area neat and clean at all times.
  • Consistently achieve productivity targets.
  • To rewind Wristbands into finished product.
  • Sub assembly of small plastic cartridge components.
  • Testing and verification of finished components.
  • Pack finished components into boxes and palletize.
  • Consistently achieve productivity targets.
  • Maintain optimum quality at all times.
  • Complete accurate job records - time recording.
  • Maintain optimum Health and Safety standards and keep press and work area clean at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Working to high quality standards whilst meeting targets and deadlines.
  • General computer skills.
  • Experience of operating high-speed production machinery.
  • Experience of working in a production environment.
  • Ability to use initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
