The role
The role of the Waking Night Support Worker is to support within a specialised residential service focusing on the needs of Deaf people with a range of additional needs which means they are unable to live independently. You will be working for a well established charity who aim to achieve equal opportunities for those who are Deaf or suffer from communication disorders. Your duties will be to support with going out in the community to assist with activities, personal care, meal preparation and domestic duties. The individuals may present challenging behaviour and the level of support the service users need to vary.
About you
You will be patient, friendly and have a caring nature. For this service it would be beneficial if you are able to sign in order to communicate with the people in the service, if you don't it is not essential however you must be eager to learn!
