Job Description

We want you to get off to the best start for you so we are giving you up to £500 when you first start your employment with us, and then when you have successfully completed the probationary period, we will give you up to another £500 for your hard work.

I am looking for Night Support Workers to join a team at a Children`s Home in Gunnislake, Cornwall. We are looking for enthusiastic staff to join the team in this new home.

Full time and part time hours available (20 / 40 hours per week) with a fantastic salary of up to £21,840 (depending on experience / Pro-rata for part time). Plus, additional overtime hours available.

We offer full training provided at L3, opportunities for further career development up to L5 and sector specialist additional training in a wide range of courses once your permanent contract and enhanced rate of pay once completed.

You may be required to work at one of our other homes - having your own transport or access to transport is essential for this position.

What we'd like to give you:
A competitive salary
Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
Generous holiday allowance
Online benefits and cashback rewards
Cycle to work scheme
SMART Childcare Vouchers
SMART Pension option
As a Night Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families and other stakeholders, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in teaching them life skills. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative are vital. As part of your role, you may be required to work at one of our other homes.

What we'd like from you:
Excellent communication skills
Effective organisational capability
Great team player and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Flexibility and resilience to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
Strong "can do" attitude

The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.

If you have been affected by coronavirus or are tired of working from home, we have care and education roles available across the country for temp, part-time and full-time roles.
