Job Description

Are you a Level 3 Nursery Nurse looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a real passion for looking after and caring for children?

We are currently looking for someone to step into a 53 place, private day nursery. The nursery was rated `GOOD` by OFSTED in its most recent report and is looking for someone with skill competency to ensure the smooth operational running of individual rooms and nursery as a whole.



Operational Duties

" Supervision of the care and safety of children
" To provide a stimulating environment and foster play with a purpose taking part in an activity in each session.
" To plan and provide a wide range of activities appropriate to the development stages of the children at all times in the day.
" To promote and develop a welcoming atmosphere for children, parents and practitioners.
" To ensure that a high standard of health and safety apply to children and practitioners.
" Administration of First Aid as required, ensuring that the correct procedure is followed and accident/incident forms are filled in correctly and signed.
" To ensure that nappy, sleep and meal time charts are filled in correctly.
" To assist, if necessary, with the initial introduction of children and parents to the nursery group, ensuring they have a welcome pack and an EYFS information pack.
" To ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the nursery, ensure that the cleaning rota is filled in weekly.
" To liaise with Senior Nursery Nurses and management team in improving practice/procedure.
" Discuss children`s progress with parents at the end of each session and parents evenings.
" To use allocated profile time effectively.
" To participate and complete an annual appraisal and QPM.
" Liaise with your SNN when filling in budget forms to ensure items purchased meet the requirements of the EYFS and develop individual practitioner`s key children.
" To attend staff meetings, SNN meetings which possibly maybe out of nursery hours, when required. To display children`s own work and take part in activities and displays.
" To attend professional development courses, training days, nursery functions and party days possibly outside nursery hours.
" To participate in room deployment rotas.



You will have-
" Level 3 Children and Young people(or equivalent)
" A passion for caring for children.
" A current DBS on the update service


This position is 4 days a week between Monday and Friday, 6.30am - 7pm and 40 hours per week getting your rotas in advance.
