Job Description

We are working with an established provider who are looking to recruit a skilled and knowledgeable Occupational Therapist for a new permanent role within the Homecare Re-ablement Service.

Working for an established provider of Adult and Children social care who is committed to providing high quality care and support to vulnerable people.

YOUR NEW ROLE:
Reporting to the Homecare Manager the role of the OT will be to work within the community homecare re-ablement service where key duties will be to undertake assessments, determine re-ablement support plans and manage a varied caseload of clients maintaining and improving the well-being of clients. Working within an existing team of skilled workers, your role will be to assist senior staff in planning, co-ordinating and delivering the Rehabilitation service, and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary way with colleagues, managers and other agencies alike. You will be able to formulate assessments, and manage outcomes.

IDEAL PERSON:
Your ability to work collaboratively with team members and working flexibly will be key. You will have a good sense of humour and whilst being skilled within your role, have the ability to work with people on any level whilst providing the highest quality service to clients. You will hold excellent communication, and organisational skills and have relevant experience of working within a similar service with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes.

Relevant professional qualification in Occupational Therapy is essential with a current registration with the HCPC together with knowledge of the relevant range of procedural and legislative frameworks, systems and initiatives.

Competitive rates of pay (equivalent to upper tier Band 6), local government pension scheme, annual leave entitlement starting at 25 days increasing to 32 days (dependant on length of service), Free DBS, and professional registration fees covered.
