Job Description

My client is a leading specialist, providing bespoke care to people with long term neurological conditions and long-term mechanical ventilation.

They are currently seeking an occupational therapist to work in two of their sites, one located in South East London and the other in Croydon. The scope of the role is to provide highly specialised occupational therapy assessment and intervention for residents with complex needs such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, degenerative neurological disorders and long-term neuro-respiratory conditions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for occupational therapy case load to enable or restore residents to the highest level of physical cognitive, physiological and social independence as possible and support the team and families.

In order to qualify for this role, the ideal candidate must have the following skills and experience:
-Diploma or BSC in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
-Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. (HCPC)
-Two years' experience in neurological rehabilitation and related areas.
-Knowledge of current evidence, national guidelines and government policies related to neurology, neuro-physiotherapy, neuro rehabilitation and long-term neurological conditions including PDoC.
-Competent in cognitive assessments and outcome measurement tools.
-Proven ability of complex case management and report writing.
-Ability to travel to other locations as required

The Successful candidate would be rewarded with the following:
