Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking company for a Exports Coordinator working within the transport industry.

Do you have experience and knowledge of shipping documentation, letters of credit, ATR and EUR`s? Are you confident with strong and clear communication skills with a proven success of building customer and supplier relationships? If so this may be the role for you!

Based in Selby, we are recruiting for an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator who will be proactive and be able to work as part of a small and positive team.


Your duties include:


Extensive liaison, building relationships and providing excellent customer service to the Ocean freight clients.
Extensive supplier liaison to develop reliable and cost effective services.
Calculating freight quotations for export freight shipments.
Completing operational administration and raising or checking the appropriate documentation including bills of lading, certificates of origin, consular documentation and letters of credit.
Processing export customs clearance formalities.
Managing the Ocean freight consignments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.
Invoicing out and completing the job files.

Key Skills and Experience Required:
Ideally a minimum of 3 years' freight forwarding experience in Ocean Freight or working for a manufacturer in an export department.
Experience of raising / checking export documentation including bills of lading, processing export documentation (using chamber of commerce) and letters of credit.
Confident and clear communication skills.
Proven success of building customer and supplier relationships.
Strong negotiating skills.
Numerate with experience of calculating freight quotations.
Good IT skills.
