Job Description

Location: York City Centre
Pay: £8.35 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

You will provide administrative support within a Government organisation. Following set procedures and exercise independent judgement in carrying out instructions. You will enjoy variety and have experience in an office environment. You will be responsible for general office maintenance including, but not limited to:

o Ensuring tea/coffee supplies are topped up, emptying dish washers and maintaining the kitchen
o Preparing video conference equipment and setting up IT equipment
o Booking travel and accommodation
o Cleaning store rooms and setting up new rooms as required

You will have good administrative experience and good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office. You will demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written. You will demonstrate an interest in IT with a view of expanding your skill set. This role is perfect for someone who loves a wide range of tasks, can use their own initiative and prefers an active role.

You will work as part of a busy, friendly team in an ideal location in York City Centre. The facilities include an under-cover bike rack, gym, canteen and car park (subject to living 7.5 miles away from the Park and Ride).

The role is subject to DBS and reference clearance.
