The Team is growing. We are delighted to see the huge strides in all of our trainees and more continue through our doors. To manage the growing number of prospective trainees we facilitate, we are looking for a capable, dedicated Officer Manager to join our team. As part of the Harris ITE Team, you will manage and oversee the Harris ITE office, ensuring smooth running of day-to-day provisions, including HR, Wellbeing, Recruitment, Social Media platforms and IT support. Our Initial Teacher Education team are dedicated to providing world-class teacher training. Supporting our trainee teachers in honing their craft in and out the classroom by working with talented professionals in a range of contexts across the Federation. What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience and proficiency in a variety of ICT packages, data entry and extraction from MIS systems

  • At least one years' experience working in school or educational establishment

  • A demonstrable track record of balancing priorities and working to strict timescales

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of the administration of areas of ITE including School Direct, Researchers in Schools, Future Teaching Scholars and NQTs with administrative links with Now Teach and Kingston University;
    * Responsible for the administration of Assessment Only candidates to gain QTS;
    * Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the teacher training process for all trainees and mentors, trainee alumni including any new teacher training initiatives;
    * Response to enquiries from training teachers; UCAS and Academy HR SD administration; record-keeping of trainees, host academies, mentors and potential applicants, and liaising with all stakeholders and all external parties including university links, UCAS, DfE and Ofsted, to support Harris trainee teachers in working towards and being awarded QTS/PGCE;
    * Responsible for the upkeep of all electronic and paper records related to recruitment, social media and IT support;
    * Excellent communication with all stakeholders regarding ITE training, assessment and support;
    * Implementation of the School Direct/ITE policies and process in line with DfE requirements as laid out in the ITT Criteria, liaising with Federation staff as required and supporting in ensuring the Academy ITE team is compliant in all areas;
    * Manage applicant administration;
    * To exercise complete discretion when dealing with issues of confidentiality and sensitivity;
    Under the direction of the Head of ITE and ITE Business Manager, such other tasks that may be required to further the efficient
    running of Harris ITE programmes, commensurate with the level of the postholder

    Working Time: 8.00am - 5.00pm with occasional after-school training
    Disclosure Level: Enhanced
