Job Title: Officer, HSD Ops - Queen's Warehouse

About the role
The HSD Ops Team forms part of the wider Queen's Warehouse network and is responsible for actively managing the relationship between third-party suppliers and business users of the Home Office contracts supporting post-seizure management.

This post would suit a confident, highly organised individual with some commercial and/or contract monitoring experience, who enjoys using their own initiative and working to competing priorities.

The HSD Ops Officer is a crucial role within the Queens Warehouse and Operational Logistics (OpLo). Excellent decision-making skills are required to respond to a reactive environment which will be at times, challenging.

This is very much a team role, which has undergone a significant period of change and will continue to do so over the next year. The successful candidate would be expected to adapt to operational changes and to continually review own and team performance to ensure optimum service delivery.

What you'll do day-to-day
The jobholder's responsibilities will include:
* Liaison between a range of partners, both internal and external, including Home Office Commercial
* Processing transport service requests to meet contractual KPIs
* Monitoring supplier performance
* Monitoring spend against budget
* Planning disposal activities in line with profiled budget
* Evaluating service to identify inefficiencies
* Providing a support function for the delivery of ePMS
* Providing a support to the wider Queen's Warehouse when required
* Providing customer service to our internal/external users

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate key issues and converse with managers at all levels - written and verbal.
* Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and spreadsheets.
* Proficient user of Windows based computer systems and able to use bespoke IT systems.
* Experience of working and supporting colleagues within a team environment.
* Ability to apply good judgement, common sense and discretion in making decisions and solving problems.
