Job description

Job Title: Operational Support Officer

  • Location: HMCTS Great Yarmouth - Fully Office-Based
  • Pay rate: £12.86 per hour
  • Working Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday (37 hours per week) Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM (45-minute lunch break) Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Contract Type: Temporary, with the possibility of extension

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to work within the Public Sector, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, HMCTS Great Yarmouth, for a Full-Time Operational Support Officer within the Fines and Enforcement Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a respected government department, working in a supportive and structured environment. You will play an important role in supporting enforcement processes and ensuring cases are managed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making outbound calls and responding to challenging or sensitive enquiries professionally
  • Processing a range of administrative tasks, including correspondence, write-offs, reports, and account checks
  • Reviewing, managing, and investigating enforcement cases
  • Maintaining accurate records using in-house systems
  • Completing data entry and updating case information
  • Following established procedures and ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Supporting the wider team with operational and administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive or challenging queries professionally
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to follow procedures carefully and work within a structured environment
