Join Our Client as an Administrative Officer in Bristol - HMCTS

Our client, a reputable government organisation, is hiring Administrative Officers to support the efficient operation of Courts, Tribunals, and other offices within Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS). This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital public service while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.

Hours - 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Pay - £12.86 rising to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Temporary assignment currently confirmed until 30th September (possibility of extension)

ON SITE ONLY - BRISTOL


What you'll be doing:
* Preparing papers, files, and court documents for hearings and meetings
* Managing records and data input on in-house systems
* Assisting with court and tribunal clerking, including scheduling and supporting court users
* Handling face-to-face, written, and telephone enquiries with professionalism
* Supporting case processing, including verifying documents, managing warrants, and collecting fines
* Contributing to team meetings, problem-solving, and small projects
* Undertaking ad hoc roles such as Jury Bailiff Officer or Health & Safety roles
* Producing basic reports and statistical analysis
* Communicating effectively with judiciary, legal professionals, and external agencies

What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Proficiency in computer applications and data entry
* Flexibility to work across different offices as needed
* Experience in administrative roles or a background in business administration (e.g., NVQ Level II or equivalent)

Additional information:
* Location: Bristol
* Education: 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent
* Licences/Certifications: Not mandatory but advantageous
* Experience: Previous administrative experience preferred
