BS-Social Care is recruiting for a temporally Outreach Officer within Leicester.
Being an Outreach Officer (OO) is a dynamic role which supports often vulnerable individuals with complex needs in transitioning from rough sleeping to thriving in safe and secure housing. The support provided to clients is hugely varied and ranges from assisting clients that are identified during daily outreach to obtain essential items, for example, food or a sleeping bag, through to supporting them to set up payment plans with previous landlords to increasing an individual's housing options, and many things in between. Our holistic approach aims to improve each individual's general well-being and through regular outreach sessions to build rapport and close liaison with other key partners, you will support clients to access the necessary specialist services to meet their individual needs. As an OO you have the unique opportunity to provide life-changing support to individuals through intensive 1:1 support. You will also receive day-to-day support from your team and regular supervisions with your line manager, to both support you in your professional development and ensure that the service is achieving the best possible outcomes for its clients.
Working hours are 6am to 2pm
1 year experience working with the homeless or outreach services
In order for this role to be executed effectively, it will require the post holder to have a full driving licence and day to day use of a car.
