Job Description

I am working with an inspirational organisation, who specialise in the prevention of violence against Women and Girls.

They are seeking an outreach worker, with a key focus on domestic violence, to work from their Coventry offices and out in the community.

You will become a key face within this nationally recognised charity and be the driving force behind making a difference to the lives of the people who seek support and guidance due to domestic violence, poverty and times of physical and mental distress.

Employed on a full time basis, with flexibility required to cover on call, you will provide direct support and care to meet the needs of women and children who are experiencing violence and abuse. You will be responsible for providing a safe and effective environment that offers support and respects their dignity.

You will work collectively, as a team to provide the people you are supporting, access to services and resources that enhance their independence, including housing, advice, education, support groups and training.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:
* Have experience supporting vulnerable women who have experienced abuse of any kind
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be fully committed to taking clients to meetings and appointment as required
* Have flexibility to share the on call rota

An ESSENTIAL requirement of this role, is the ability to communicate in an alternative language such as Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi, Swahili and to have an understanding of different cultural and religious beliefs.

In return, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary up to £22000 per annum, access to healthcare benefits following successful completion of your probation period, pension scheme and continued training opportunities.

If you feel you meet the above criteria and the role of outreach worker is for you, please apply online today or forward your CV via email.
