We have an 9-month Maternity cover position for a Business Support Officer in Cardiff. The post is wide ranging and varied and provides the opportunity to contribute to many key areas of activity within the Agency as well as weekly pay.
You will have direct responsibility for a wide range of corporate and business functions including providing secretariat support for a Government Department, as well as being the front of house contact point for the Cardiff office, overseeing school engagement programmes and more.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following:
" The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh to a level four standard on a skills framework
" Strong Administrative Skills
" An understanding of corporate and business functions
" Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
" A flexible approach to workload as duties may vary
" Experience of a Personal Assistant type role.
The successful candidate will be working in a secure environment which requires a high level of background and clearance checks. This will include Criminal Record Checks (DBS Checks), Reference Checks (Employment, Education and any gaps) (3 years), Address checks (5 years) and may involve us obtaining character references and/or other evidence to cover periods of unemployment.
Once the successful candidate has been offered the role, these checks will commence. These normally take anything from 7 days to 28 days, depending on how quickly we can obtain this information for clearance.
