Role: Packaging Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am till 4.30pm
Location: Rural Tonbridge
A client based in rural Tonbridge are looking for a new Packaging Manager to join their busy and friendly team. Your main duties will include:
-Manage the day to day running of the packaging department, ensuring that customers orders are packed & dispatched on time and planning for resources accordingly.
-Manage all current and new customers packaging related requirements.
-Manage a team of packaging operators handling various packing, picking and dispatching activities.
-Co-operate effectively with managers from other departments to ensure that customers orders are prioritised and quality standards are met.
-Responsible for managing the warehouse, maximising space and safety.
-Manage and develop cost saving initiatives.
-Identify and recommend changes to systems and processes as appropriate.
-Proactively implement new continuous improvement initiatives to increase departmental efficiency.
-Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all external vendors and contractors.
-Ensure that packing activities are performed in accordance with the company Quality Manual as well as to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
-Ensure that Health & Safety requirements and good housekeeping are met in all areas (packing, warehouse & dispatch).
-Organise yearly end stock take.
