Paralegal Assistant - Opportunity in Birmingham City Centre

Our Public Sector client, based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, is seeking a Paralegal Assistant to join their busy Legal Services Department.

This is a temporary assignment offering £12.34 per hour, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm (with some flexibility). You'll begin fully onsite for 2-3 weeks during training, then move to a hybrid schedule - three days in the office and two working from home. There's also potential for the role to be extended.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Paralegal Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the legal team with a variety of administrative and case-related tasks, including:

  • Drafting and sending official notices
  • Processing disqualification and bankruptcy undertakings/orders
  • Managing requests and issuing reminder letters
  • Handling ad hoc administrative duties such as data entry, scanning, proofreading, and mail distribution
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders via letter, email, text, and telephone

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a genuine interest in legal work

Please note: this role requires a DBS check and three years of referencing.
