Our Co Antrim client has engaged with Brook Street to support them with the search of a Medical Receptionist.

Our client has confirmed that the position is temporary ongoing with a view of becoming permanent The hours of work are as follows
Monday 8.30 to 1630
Tuesday 8.30 to 1630
Wednesday 0830 to 1630
Thursday 8.30 to 1730
Friday 8.30 to 12.00


We are seeking applicants that have Good knowledge of reception and telephone systems
Good knowledge of alphabetical filing systems
Good all-round office skills & excellent organisational skills
Desirably we would prefer applicants to have
Any reception or customer service courses achieved
Two or more year`s relevant experience in a patient centred setting
Knowledge of Emis or other computerised appointment system


The successful applicant will be responsible for
Manning the reception area on a day to day basis, working alongside reception staff
To answer the telephone promptly and politely, telephoning patients when requested
To deal with patients at the front desk in a polite and courteous manner
To make appointments accurately for both Doctors, practice nurses
And other members of the community team using both manual and computerised systems
To take requests for repeat prescriptions promptly and accurately
To scan hospital letters/results accurately into the patient`s computer records
To take requests for home visits and advice
To undertake photocopying duties as requested


In return, you will be paid an hourly rate of £8.21 per hour on a weekly basis
