Part time Welfare Officer (Activities Leader)

Location: Kings Lynn - Bircham Newton
Salary: £14.93 An Hour
Working hours: PART TIME - Saturdays and Sundays - 1:30pm - 11pm

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable learners? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Welfare Officer (Activities Leader) for our Public Sector client based in Bircham Newton who are currently seeking someone to join our team on a part-time temporary basis. As an Activities Leader, you'll play a crucial role in providing physical and mental well being support to learners while ensuring their safety and welfare.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical and mental well-being support to learners, addressing their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with curriculum delivery teams, sharing insights and information about learner's unique requirements.
  • Act in "Loco Parentis" for learners under 18 years of age and/or vulnerable adults, managing and reporting all safeguarding concerns.
  • Uphold all safeguarding policies and procedures, fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all learners.
  • Accompany Learners on outings outside of the college such as visits to the cinema, museums and other fun engaging activities to ensure the safety of their welfare at all times.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a full clean driver's license. (Must be able to drive vehicles provided by the client to take the learners on days out).
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Previous experience in safeguarding, youth work or working as a support worker.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
