Job description

Brook Street Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of our client in Ballyclare to recruit a motivated and customer-focused Parts Advisor.

As a Parts Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Parts Department. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting both retail customers and the internal workshop with parts enquiries and orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer enquiries and orders via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Proactively promote and upsell parts to both new and existing customers, building strong relationships
  • Maintain accurate and efficient stock control systems
  • Manage goods-in processes, ensuring all stock is received, checked, and stored correctly
  • Pick and supply parts from stores as required
  • Carry out regular stock checks and inventory management
  • Complete all administrative duties related to parts ordering, returns, and documentation
  • Process warranty and return claims within required timeframes
  • Support the overall efficiency and performance of the Parts Department
  • Ensure customer needs are met with the correct parts solutions
  • Undertake additional duties as required in line with the role

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in, or knowledge of, the plant or agricultural industry
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with a professional approach at all levels
  • A high level of accountability and reliability
  • Full, valid driving licence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business needs
  • Methodical and responsible attitude to work

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a parts role, ideally within a franchised dealership
  • Knowledge or experience of attachment sales
  • Good level of IT literacy, with experience using stock control systems
